Having grown up climbing trees, Zach started his trimming business out of a love for just that and helping others. He was teaching at the time when one weekend he helped a friend throw out a huge dead branch hanging above her driveway. That episode sparked the idea that he could climb for a living. So he sought a climbing master and learned the ropes under Peter "The Treeman" Jenkins and TJ Convery in Atlanta, GA, and learned the art and science of pruning from Dr. Edward F. Gilman.
